Field Service Training Course

The following course dates have been announced for 2008 :

Spring Combined:  April 21 - 28 (class is full to capacity)
Summer Standard: June 17 - 20, Specialized: June 23 - 25
Fall Combined: September 15 - 19

The Anderson Instrument Company invites you to attend a Field Service Training Course at our Fultonville, New York training facility. The course will cover the installation, operation, maintenance and servicing of Anderson's line of sanitary process instrumentation. This training will be held in our fully equipped classroom. You'll gain valuable information via lecture from our Technical Service Department, backed up by direct hands-on training.


We are planning on running the class for two weeks and will start on Tuesday of Week 1, and end Wednesday (or Thursday) of Week 2. Attendees have the option of attending either Week 1, Week 2, or both. Tuition for end users and independant service providers is $400 per week. Channel partners are encouraged to attend and are not charged tuition per the partnership agreement.

We will hold open registration until  about four weeks prior to the class start date. If you would like to attend the class, please register before then. Class size is limited, so sign up early to ensure your seat.

The class will loosely follow this schedule:

Week 1 (Standard Class):
Tuesday - HTST Pasteurization (AV-9900 STLR, DRT, JD DPS)
Wednesday - Sensors, Analytical, Level & Flow Fundamentals (Temp, Pressure, Conductivity, Basic Level, Pt Level, Basic Flow)
Thursday - Recorders & Indicators (AV-9000, AJ-300, ACR-700, GK Series)
Friday - Controllers (1/2 day) (PID Theory, 801, ED-190, AIC-200, 600, 820)

Week 2 (Specialized Class):
Monday - Flowmeter Applications (IZMS/IZML Mag flow, RZ Series PD, HM SeriesTurbine, Batch Controllers, Totalizers)
Tuesday - 1/2 day Flow, 1/2 day Level Sensors (Mass, HT Systems, Rec Systems, SL/SX/LD/LA, HB
Wednesday - Advanced Level Systems (TDL, TRL, LM3200, LT800, PLC)
Thursday - HTST Pasteurization (AV-9900, STLR/SFLR, JD DPS, DRT) (if demand exists)

Week 1 contains less detail and is intended more for end user maintenance technicians and sales people, while Week 2 will be more advanced and geared toward technical industry professionals. Attendees selecting the Specialized class should meet the prerequisites of having previously attended an Anderson FSTC, or be experienced in the field and consider themselves advanced.

Depending on registration numbers, we reserve the right to combine the two classes into a one week class.

Benefits to the Processor or Service Technician
For persons involved with on-site servicing of Anderson products at Dairy, Food or Pharmaceutical plants, the course will surely prove valuable. You'll learn base theory of operation, routine calibration and also emergency repair. By gaining the knowledge to perform service, experience shows reductions in down-time as well as maintenance and production costs.

Benefits to the Distributor
For an Anderson Distributor, sending installation and service personnel to the class will increase efficiency and problem solving skills when working in the field. Without a doubt, you'll quickly become a great asset to your customers. New product information will bring you up to date, and a plant tour lets you see how the products are made.
